Note: We saw this migration run from a distance and our guide drove quickly to get us close (you will notice the bumpy video). The rumble of the hooves is awesome. They are running down a hillside to and beyond the lake.
Migration Run Pauses – Serengeti National Park
Note: At the end of a migration run some animals get tired and just lay down to rest. That happened here and it creates a big backup of animals that are still running at the back of the pack.
They then just mill around until one or two feel the need to move on and pick up the track.
Then the rest get the idea and the move is on again.
