Tanzania Safari

My wife, Ellen, and I traveled to Tanzania in January for a most unforgettable safari that included Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks, and the Ngorongoro (Crater) Conservation Area. We were fortunate to see the Great Migration in action. Awesome. We also visited the “Cradle of Humankind” at Olduvai Gorge. The trip was arranged through Audley Travel (Boston, USA) in conjunction with Asilia Travel (Arusha, Tanzania). Here’s a small sample of some of our animal and nature encounters.

A special thanks to our two most excellent Asilia guide/drivers, Jackson (Tarangire) and Elissa (Serengeti and Ngorongoro), who were just plain amazing. And to all the staff members at Oliver’s Camp, Lake Masek Tented Lodges and Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp, who made us feel so welcome and cared for; for their special greetings and farewells, their incomparable service and, above all, their kindness and friendship.

Asante Sana!
